The short version: Enlisted is rated Very Positive on Steam, 80.3% of 48,809 reviews positive across all languages (78.4% of 20,716 English-only reviews, labeled Mostly Positive on its own). That all-languages share is higher than War Thunder's 71.2% of 788,539 reviews, the other Gaijin-published military MMO this cluster tracks, though War Thunder's sample is far larger. Enlisted's Steam page also lists Windows and SteamOS + Linux support, which Where Winds Meet, Once Human and Project Entropy do not (each is Windows-only per their listings). Below: what the Steam listing and its player reviews show, as of October 16, 2026. Not hands-on tested.

Enlisted at a glance

Enlisted is Darkflow Software and Gaijin Network Ltd's free-to-play WWII squad shooter, built around commanding a full squad rather than a single soldier: the store page's own text puts it as "you are not only commanding a single soldier, but an entire squad!" That framing, and the game's wider description as an MMO shooter built around World War II battles, is the publisher's wording, not something this article has verified in play. Steam's genre tags list only Action, Massively Multiplayer and Free To Play, without a dedicated "Shooter" or "War" tag. Enlisted entered Early Access on March 28, 2024, and reached full release on July 16, 2024, per the Steam page, so its nearly 49,000 all-language reviews reflect more than a year and a half of live history. Steam does not list controller support for this title, so we report it as "Not listed" rather than assuming either way.

Why play Enlisted in 2026?

A higher all-languages positive share than its own publisher's other military MMO is the strongest case here. Steam shows 80.3% positive across all 48,809 reviews (39,197 positive, 9,612 negative), labeled Very Positive, read October 16, 2026, a higher all-languages share than War Thunder's 71.2% of 788,539 reviews, the other Gaijin-published title this cluster tracks, though War Thunder's sample is far larger. Among the 20,716 reviews Steam classes as English, 78.4% are positive (16,233 positive, 4,483 negative), which lands one tier lower, at Mostly Positive, the same gap-by-language pattern GamiPrime has reported for other titles in this cluster, but still a clearly positive read. The store page's own "Recent Reviews" widget showed a separate, smaller window at the same read: Very Positive, with 82% of 1,199 reviews from the last 30 days positive, a few points above the all-time English share. Steam's live page displayed roughly 20,753 English reviews at the moment of a separate check, a few dozen more than the reviews API returned seconds apart in the same session; both counts are close enough that the gap looks like normal traffic between two live reads, not a data problem, so this article cites the reviews API figures above as the primary numbers. We did not break any of these figures down by playtime or purchase type, and this does not explain why reviewers feel the way they do. Not hands-on tested.

How much does Enlisted cost?

Nothing to start. Steam lists Enlisted as free, with in-app purchases, the same "In-App Purchases" flag every free game in this cluster lists. This article does not evaluate what that costs or whether it affects progression, since that sits outside what GamiPrime can verify from the listing alone. Before you spend, the guide to how free-to-play PC games make money explains what an in-app-purchases flag generally tells you, and what it leaves out.

Where Can I Play Enlisted?

Enlisted is available on the official Steam page, on Windows and on SteamOS + Linux, a platform that Where Winds Meet, Once Human and Project Entropy do not list (each is Windows-only per their listings). The minimum spec asks for an Intel Core i3 or better, 8 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 660 or better / Radeon 78XX series or better GPU, DirectX 11 and 49 GB of free storage; the recommended tier raises the processor to an Intel Core i5-10400 or Ryzen 5 3600 and better and the GPU to a GeForce GTX 1080 or better / Radeon RX 5700 XT or better, but RAM and storage stay flat at 8 GB and 49 GB on both tiers: only the processor and graphics card move. Steam separately lists a full Linux build with the same 8 GB RAM and 49 GB storage figures repeated for Linux minimum and recommended, and no separate DirectX or network line for that platform. Steam does not list controller support for this title ("Not listed"). We did not test whether either Windows tier or the Linux build changes frame rate in practice; this only reports what the store page lists.
