Note

This page reflects the information provided by the publisher as a sole proprietor. It should still be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before publication.

This Privacy Policy explains how GamiPrime ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit gamiprime.com (the "Site"). We are committed to processing your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws.

Data controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is:

  • GamiPrime (sole proprietor)
  • Suite 100, 444 Alaska Avenue, Suite #CQL442, Torrance, CA 90503, USA
  • Email: contact@gamiprime.com

Data we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Usage and analytics data: pages viewed, time spent, referring pages, approximate location (country/region), device type, browser and operating system, collected through our analytics tool.
  • Advertising identifiers and cookies: identifiers set by advertising cookies to serve and measure ads, and, where you consent, to personalise them.
  • Technical data: IP address (which may be truncated/anonymised), and log data generated automatically by your browser.
  • Data you provide directly: for example, if you contact us by email, the content of your message and your contact details.

Purposes of processing

  • Operating, securing and maintaining the Site;
  • Measuring audience and understanding how the Site is used (analytics);
  • Displaying advertising and measuring its performance;
  • Personalising advertising (only with your consent);
  • Responding to your requests and messages.

Legal bases

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): for non-essential cookies, audience measurement, and personalised advertising. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): for keeping the Site secure, preventing abuse, and basic operation. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps / legal obligation where applicable.

Profiling and automated advertising decisions

Where you consent to advertising cookies, our advertising partners (including Google AdSense) may build an advertising profile based on your browsing activity to select and personalise the ads shown to you (Art. 22 GDPR). This profiling only affects which ads you see: it does not produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you, and no decision with legal or similarly significant effect is made about you in an automated way. You can decline this profiling at any time by rejecting advertising cookies in our Cookie Policy settings, in which case you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised to you.

Children's privacy

The Site is a general-audience gaming publication and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly serve personalised advertising to visitors we know to be children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at contact@gamiprime.com and we will delete it.

Third parties and recipients

We share data with the following categories of service providers and partners, who process it on our behalf or as independent controllers:

  • Google AdSense and advertising partners: to serve, cap and measure advertising. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data.
  • Analytics provider: none is currently active on the Site. This section will be updated if an analytics tool is added.
  • Hosting and infrastructure: Cloudflare, Inc.

We do not sell your personal data.

International data transfers

Some of our providers are located outside the European Economic Area (for example in the United States). Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or applicable adequacy frameworks.

Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above:

  • Analytics data: not applicable, no analytics tool is currently active on the Site;
  • Advertising cookie data: for the lifetime of the relevant cookies (see our Cookie Policy);
  • Email correspondence: up to 3 years after the last contact.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten");
  • Restrict or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interest and direct marketing;
  • Data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

California Privacy Rights (CPRA)

GamiPrime is a small, sole-proprietor publication and, based on its current size and revenue, does not meet the California Consumer Privacy Act / CPRA thresholds that make its disclosure and opt-out obligations legally mandatory (broadly: over $25M in annual revenue, or personal information of 100,000+ consumers/households, or 50%+ of revenue from selling or sharing personal information). We nonetheless extend the following to California residents as a matter of policy:

  • Right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used (see "Data we collect" and "Purposes of processing" above);
  • Right to delete personal information we hold about you;
  • Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing": advertising cookies that let Google AdSense and its partners serve interest-based ads may be considered "sharing" under CPRA. You can opt out at any time by rejecting advertising cookies in our Cookie Policy settings, or by emailing contact@gamiprime.com with "Do Not Sell or Share My Info" in the subject line;
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@gamiprime.com. No Data Protection Officer has been appointed, as GamiPrime operates as a sole proprietorship. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will reply within the timeframe required by law (generally one month).

Complaints

If you believe your data protection rights have been infringed, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your EU country of residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.

Cookies

Detailed information about the cookies we use and how to manage them is available in our Cookie Policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
