Zenless Zone Zero lists a lighter floor than the other free action RPGs in our comparison, where NTE, Wuthering Waves and Where Winds Meet all list 16 GB of RAM: i5 Intel Core (7th Gen), 8 GB of RAM and GeForce GTX970. The storage line is not light: 75 GB. Specs below are from the Steam page as read on October 4, 2026 (UTC). Not benchmarked.

The recommended tier raises the CPU and GPU but keeps RAM at 8 GB, which is low next to the other action RPGs here.

What the numbers imply

RAM is the easiest line to satisfy: 8 GB at both tiers. Of the 13 free games in our requirements comparison, 4 list 16 GB as the minimum, so Zenless Zone Zero is one of the games that does not.

Storage is the line that needs planning. 75 GB sits in the upper half of the set: the largest minimums in the set are Wuthering Waves (150 GB), Where Winds Meet (130 GB), NTE: Neverness to Everness (110 GB).

Hard drive support is stated. The note says "HDD Supported, SSD Recommended" for both tiers, so a hard drive is within the listing, with an SSD recommended.

The file size on Steam

KeenGamer reported that the initial Steam files total 68.3 GB, with more data fetched after launching and logging in (KeenGamer, June 17, 2026). The Steam page itself lists 75 GB as the storage requirement, so plan for the larger figure.

RPGSite reported three caveats for the Steam version at launch: no early file preload through the HoYoPlay launcher, no Resource Management function on Steam, and the full game assets come by default with no partial option (RPGSite, June 16, 2026). These are third-party reports from the launch week. Check the live Steam page for the current state.

Check your PC first

  1. GPU. Task Manager, Performance, GPU: compare with the GeForce GTX 970 class at minimum, or GTX 1660 at recommended.
  2. CPU. Settings, System, About: confirm an Intel Core i5 7th generation or newer class for the minimum.
  3. Free space. Settings, System, Storage: 75 GB free is the listed floor, and the first batch of files alone is reported at 68.3 GB.

Bottom line

On listed hardware, Zenless Zone Zero asks less than most free PC games with a large world. On storage it asks a lot. If your PC is older but has a spare 75 GB, this is one of the easier listed floors to meet. Not benchmarked.
