Warframe's Steam page lists a minimum specification and nothing else. There is no recommended CPU, RAM, GPU or storage line at all, the same gap this cluster already flagged on Project Entropy's and MU: Dark Epoch's listings. The minimum itself is dated: Windows 7 64-bit, an Intel Core i7 860 / i5 750 or AMD FX-4100-class processor, 4 GB of RAM, a DirectX 11-capable graphics card, and 75 GB of storage. Specs below are from Warframe's official Steam listing, read October 16, 2026 (UTC). Not benchmarked.

Steam's listing for Warframe gives a minimum tier and leaves every recommended field blank. That is not a rounding error or an omission in this write-up; it is the state of the live listing as read on October 16, 2026.

Line Minimum Recommended
OS Windows 7 64-bit (32-bit not supported) Not listed
Processor Intel Core i7 860, Intel Core i5 750, or AMD FX-4100 (SSE 4.2 support required) Not listed
Memory 4 GB RAM Not listed
Graphics DirectX 11+ capable graphics card Not listed
DirectX Version 11 Not listed
Storage 75 GB available space Not listed

The listing adds two notes outside the table: no Mac or Linux client currently exists, and DirectX 12 support requires at least Windows 10 20H2 or Windows 11 even though the minimum line still names DirectX 11 and Windows 7. We did not test whether a Windows 7-era CPU and 4 GB of RAM is realistic for a live-service game with over thirteen years of added content; this only reports what the store page lists, and what it does not.

What the numbers imply

The missing recommended tier is the real finding here, not the minimum figures themselves. Of the games in GamiPrime's free PC games system requirements comparison, Project Entropy and MU: Dark Epoch are the only other listings that leave their recommended line empty across the board; every other title in that comparison, including Zenless Zone Zero, NTE, Wuthering Waves and Where Winds Meet, publishes a full second tier. A thin or missing recommended line gives you one less official data point to plan an upgrade around.

On storage, Warframe's 75 GB minimum ties Zenless Zone Zero for the same figure, sitting below Wuthering Waves (150 GB), Where Winds Meet (130 GB), NTE (110 GB) and Delta Force (88 GB), and above Marvel Rivals, Arena Breakout: Infinite and War Thunder (70 GB each). It is a mid-pack number for this cluster, not the lightest and not the heaviest.

On RAM, the 4 GB minimum is on the low end but not the lowest. War Thunder, Project Entropy and STALZONE also list 4 GB as their floor; Infinity Kingdom (2 GB) and MU: Dark Epoch (1 GB) list less. A PC that clears 4 GB clears Warframe's stated minimum on paper, which says nothing about how a thirteen-year-old live-service game with continuous content updates performs on it today.

Check your PC first

  1. CPU. Settings, System, About: confirm a processor at or above the Intel Core i7 860 / i5 750 / AMD FX-4100 class. The listing does not name a newer baseline, so there is no recommended-tier CPU to check against instead.
  2. GPU and DirectX. Press Windows + R, type dxdiag, and read the GPU name and DirectX version on the System and Display tabs; confirm DirectX 11 support. The listing notes that DirectX 12 needs at least Windows 10 20H2 or Windows 11, even though the stated minimum still names Windows 7 and DirectX 11.
  3. Free space. Settings, System, Storage: confirm 75 GB free, the listed floor. Live-service content updates can raise that figure after the listing was last read; check the current Steam page before you commit a drive.

Bottom line

Warframe's floor is not demanding by today's standards, but it is the only data point Steam gives you: there is no recommended tier to aim for instead, and no official second opinion on what runs the game comfortably. Not benchmarked.
