As of October 27, 2026 (UTC), Steam still shows Foundation: Galactic Frontier as "Coming soon". That is the confirmed part. FunPlus's own launch post is dated to October 21, 2025 and names iOS, Android and PC through the official website, so a PC version exists today. Not confirmed: a Steam date, or a transfer path for existing accounts.

What is confirmed
Foundation: Galactic Frontier launched on October 21, 2025. FunPlus's press release names iOS, Android and PC through the official website. It says the game was developed at FunPlus's Chengdu studio in collaboration with Paramount Television Studios, and is based on Isaac Asimov's Foundation series and the Apple TV series (FunPlus).
The Steam page exists and is marked "Coming soon". The Steam listing names FunPlus International AG as developer and publisher, shows the game as free to play with the "In-App Purchases" flag, lists Windows only, and shows no user reviews yet (Steam, checked October 4, 2026 (UTC)).
Steam's description sets the scene. It says you play as an interstellar trader, build a starship home and fight in space wars, in the Foundation universe.
What is reported but not an announcement
As of August 26, 2026, no Steam date had been announced. Screen Rant reported that the Steam version is a port of the mobile game, that it would include a new season, and that the game is free to play with microtransactions (Screen Rant, August 26, 2026). That is a press report, not a statement from FunPlus that we could read.
What is not confirmed
- A Steam release date. None in the sources we read.
- What the Steam build adds. Only Screen Rant's summary, which we could not match to an official post.
- Whether mobile accounts will move to Steam. No source we read says.
- Any Steam user rating. The page shows no reviews, because the game is not released there.
What the Steam page lists
The Steam page already carries requirements and age ratings, even though the game is unreleased there. As read on October 4, 2026 (UTC):
- Platform: Windows only.
- Minimum requirements: Windows 7 SP1 or better: 64 bit required, Intel Core 2 Duo e6400 or AMD Athlon x64 4000+, 4 GB of RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 or Radeon HD 4400 or better, DX 10 and 8 GB of storage. The page gives no recommended tier.
- Categories: multi-player, MMO, PvP, online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer, plus Family Sharing and the "In-App Purchases" flag.
- Age ratings listed by Steam: ESRB Teen and PEGI 12, among others.
These are the publisher's entries for a build that is not yet public, so they could change before release. They are a hint about the Steam build's scope, not a release promise.

What it means for PC players
There is a PC version today, and it is not on Steam. If you want to play now, FunPlus's launch post points to its official website for PC. If you want to wait for Steam, the Steam page is the place to watch.

Worth watching
- The Steam page changing from "Coming soon" to a date.
- An official FunPlus post about the Steam build.
- User reviews appearing on the Steam page, which would let us compare it with the other free PC games.
