Delta Force, listed on Steam as developed by Team Jade and published by TiMi Studio Group, is rated Mixed, and the label hides two audiences who do not rate it the same way. English and Simplified Chinese reviews are close under 50 hours of play (51.4% positive against 48.0%), about 21 points apart at 50 to 200 hours, and about 39 points apart from 200 hours up. The gap depends on how long the reviewer has played.
GamiPrime did not play the game. This is a reception analysis of other players' Steam reviews, read on October 7, 2026 at 02:22 UTC, with no score and no recommendation to play or skip. On that date Steam showed 57.7% positive across 197,589 reviews in all languages, 65.5% of 69,487 in English and 40.5% of 62,407 classed as Simplified Chinese. Our Steam reviews ranking of free-to-play PC games states that the reasons languages differ are not known; this piece adds one measurement and does not explain it.
Delta Force Steam reviews by language and playtime
We took the 1,000 most recent reviews in each language through Steam's public review API. English reviews run from September 6 to October 7, 2026, Simplified Chinese from September 11 to October 7. Playtime is the author's total on the day we read the review, not when they wrote it. Of the 1,000 reviews Steam classed as Simplified Chinese, 184 contain no Chinese character at all, so we write "reviews classed as Simplified Chinese by Steam".
| Review playtime | English: reviews (n) | English: positive | Chinese per Steam: reviews (n) | Chinese per Steam: positive |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Under 50 h | 556 | 51.4% | 321 | 48.0% |
| 50 to 200 h | 230 | 65.2% | 160 | 44.4% |
| 200 to 1,000 h | 161 | 64.6% | 247 | 23.1% |
| Over 1,000 h | 53 | 69.8% | 272 | 29.8% |
| Subtotal, the two rows above combined: 200 h and more | 214 | 65.9% | 519 | 26.6% |
In Delta Force's Steam reviews, newcomers are close: 51.4% against 48.0%. By 50 to 200 hours the gap is about 21 points (65.2% in English against 44.4% in Chinese), and from 200 hours up the two languages sit about 39 points apart. Between the first two bands the English share rises by about 14 points while the Chinese-classed share barely moves. Past 200 hours the Chinese-classed share is 23.1% (200 to 1,000 hours) and 29.8% (over 1,000 hours).
The samples are also different crowds. The median playtime of the English sample is 38.5 hours; for the Chinese-classed sample it is 225.8 hours, and more than half of its authors have 200 hours or more (519 of 1,000, against 214 in English).
The English bands past 200 hours are small. With 53 reviews above 1,000 hours, the margin would be roughly 12 points either way, so the English climb from 65% to 70% is inside the noise, and we do not call it a steady rise with playtime. The sample is not a random draw, so read every margin as indicative at best. The 3.4-point difference under 50 hours sits well inside the margin of both samples.

What 25 negative Delta Force reviews from players with 200 hours or more say
This section rests on a small hand-read slice: negative reviews in the Chinese-classed sample with 200 hours or more and between 60 and 300 characters (48 reviews), of which we read 25. The length filter drops the shortest and longest reviews, and the slice is not representative of Chinese-language reviews, of negative reviews, or of any group of players. We read no positive reviews, and no English reviews in detail, so this shows what unhappy veterans write, not why English reviewers with 200 hours or more are 65.9% positive.
In that slice of negative reviews, several themes come up more than once. Some authors write that an account was banned or frozen and that they found no way to appeal. Some who play through Steam write that events and perks on the other client do not reach them, which we could not verify. Others complain about loot rates, cheaters, matchmaking against bots, or crashes after updates.
Two reviews, translated by GamiPrime. A review classed as Simplified Chinese, from a player with about 1,180 hours in total on the reading date, posted September 29, 2026, says that the day after the new-season update the game "crashes reliably about 2 minutes after launch", that fixes found online did not work, and that "the official customer service channel is unfriendly to Steam players, there is no way to submit a ticket". Another, from a player with about 1,600 hours (rounded to the nearest ten), posted September 12, 2026, opens with a complaint about the loot rate and argues that a game wanting to keep players should make them want to keep playing. The author calls the frustration intense and the return low.
What negative reviews mention: cheating more than the anti-cheat tool
Of the 423 English negative reviews in the sample, about 25.5% (108) mention cheat, hack, aimbot, wallhack or ESP, against about 5.2% (22) that mention the anti-cheat tool (reviews call it "ACE"; the words counted are "anti-cheat", "ACE" as a whole word and "kernel"). 14 reviews are in both groups. An earlier count gave 116 (27.4%), but 8 of those matched only through "anticheat", so we removed it.
These are keyword counts, so approximate: "hack" can appear without meaning cheating, other words are missed, and 27.7% of those English negative reviews are under 40 characters.
Our reading: English negative reviews talk about cheaters more than about the tool that polices them, and the data supports that firmly only in English. In the Chinese-classed sample, 77.6% of the 637 negative reviews are under 40 characters. Cheating terms appear in 14.9% under the broad list and monetization terms (spending, top-ups, drop rate, skins, season pass) in 10.4%, so neither is a "most mentioned theme": the order depends on the list. The cheating lists also catch words that are not about cheating, such as 挂着机 (leaving the game idling) and 反作弊 (anti-cheat); once those are removed the broad list gives about 13% to 14% and the strict one 6.9%. We do not carry the English figure across.
The publisher gives its own numbers. In its Steam announcement "G.T.I. Security | Notice of penalties for violations", posted September 28, 2026 for the week of September 21 to 27, it reports, labelled PC, 709 users with 10-year bans and 8,990 players forced offline for cheating. They are the publisher's figures, unchecked, and do not separate Steam from other PC clients, so they cannot tell us how many of these reviewers were affected.

What the Delta Force Steam review numbers do not prove
The cause of the English versus Simplified Chinese gap is not in this data, because playtime, language and satisfaction move together here. Several explanations are compatible with it, none proven: veterans accumulate grievances that newcomers have not met yet; players who stay 200 hours may be those who care most about progression and loot; the Steam edition may differ from other clients, which we cannot check.
Other limits:
- Steam's playtime may not include time spent on other clients. We did not verify this.
- Playtime is a total on the reading date, so an author with over 1,000 hours may have written a review much earlier.
- There is no data on how many banned players use Steam.
- English reviews are lower recently than over the game's lifetime: 57.7% positive among the latest 1,000 English reviews, against 65.5% of all 69,487 English reviews. (The all-language Steam total is also 57.7%, a coincidence.) The September 24 announcement says Detonation (Beta), a new 5v5 mode, arrives on September 27 at 01:00 UTC, so updates are a candidate, but nothing here shows they are the reason.
